A unique location with million dollar views and an abundance of space, Treasure Island plays host to private events, weddings, birthdays, reunions, and family picnics as well as popular annual public events including the San Francisco Triathlon at Treasure Island, the Treasure Island Music Festival, Summer Sailstice, and the California International Dragon Boat Festival.
The Treasure Island Development Authority (TIDA) oversees all Special Event activity on Treasure Island, books and manages the Treasure Island Great Lawn, and issues Use Permits for all public events, large-scale private events, street closures, parking lots and open spaces on Treasure and Yerba Buena Islands.
A Joint Venture between the Treasure Island Homeless Development Initiative (TIHDI) and Wine Valley Catering provides valuable ongoing job training and employment opportunities to Island residents through the booking and management of the Pavilion by the Bay, Casa de la Vista, the Administration Building Lobby, the Treasure Island Chapel and the Fogwatch Picnic Area.
